Keep Punching funded Dr. Iwamoto at Columbia University Medical Center.

 

Dr. Iwamoto’s most recent research project involving novel treatments for Glioblastoma (Molecular Predictors of PD-1 Inhibitors in Glioblastoma and Glioblastoma Tumor Tissue Analysis after Clinical Exposure to a New mTOR inhibitor).

In addition, Dr. Fabio M. Iwamoto also studies PD-1 Inhibitors Pembrolizumab and Nivolumab in participants with recurrent or progressive Gliomas.

Immune and genomic correlates of response to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy in glioblastoma. 

Keep Punching funds Dr. Matthias Holdhoff from Johns Hopkins Hospital.

 

His study is on Determination of frequency and clinicopathological criteria of H3 K27M mutated tumors in adult patients with midline gliomas.

Keep Punching funded Dr. Mark Mishra at the University of Maryland Medical Center for a 5 year grant for a combined total of $25,000 in January 2016.

 

Currently Dr. Mark Mishra and Dr. Graeme Woodworth has a study on Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) as well as addressing Patient Preferences to improve quality of life for patients with malignant brain tumors.

​Research grants will be disbursed as funds become available. Grant applications are welcome throughout the fiscal year and will be reviewed by the appropriate Grant Review Committee and approved by the Keep Punching Board of Directors. View full research assistance guidelines

Grants for Individuals will be disbursed for those with a primary brain malignancy and financial need. Keep Punching will fund up to $1000 per person for equipment and services recommended by a licensed healthcare provider. View full patient assistance guidelines
